Description:The only commercially available scan converter capable of even approaching the full resolution of the 8-second format was the Videoscan by Microcraft Corporation WB9LVI. Initial receiver tuning, and nearly continuous compensation for receiver drift was done completely by ear. The odd lines were reconstructed in my scan conversion and SSTV display process by averaging the adjacent video lines that were transmitted.
